The Chaparral Drain, which is a drainage system that serves the low-lying areas on the southwest side of Precinct 1 south of Donna. The project limits are from the Old River Road Crossing to the main floodwater channel which is approximately 3.6 miles. HCDD1 Engineering prepared plans to widened and regrade the existing ditch improve along with several crossing upgrades which include Old River Road, Victoria Road, Chaparral Road, and FM 493. HCDD1 performed the widening and regrading of the ditch and all the crossings except for the FM 493 Crossing which was constructed by a contractor.
